Lubrication of clutch dog toggles on tractors with hand operated clutch has been improved by the addition of a 3/16 inch diameter recess, 3/16 inch deep, in one end (see Figure). This recess is filled with compounded high-heat-resistant grease just before assembly and surfaces of both ends are coated with the same grease.

The recessed end is placed in the socket of the clutch operating sleeve.
